Eco Fair Project is pleased to welcome Mr. Mario Ronconi – Head of Unit/DG INTPA and the Delegation of the European Union
In May 2023, the project “Promotion of supply and demand of eco-fair agri-food processing products in Vietnam” (Eco-Fair) funded by the European Union together with project beneficiaries took place in Hoa Binh province. The project was very honored to welcome Mr. Mario Ronconi,the Head of Unit/DG INTPA C2 and responsible for the South and Southeast Asia region in the Directorate General for International Partnership (DG INTPA) of the European Commission, along with a high-ranking delegation of the European Union Delegation to Vietnam are: Ms. Kristina Bünde – Head of Cooperation Department; Mr. Jesús Laviña – Deputy Head of Cooperation Department; Mr. Hoang Thanh – Program Manager.
During 03 years of implementation (April 2020 – May 2023), Eco Fair Project has made great efforts to implement activities, successfully complete the set goals, along with achieving the expected impacts: sustainable production and consumption of agro-processed products, ecologically fair food in Vietnam, contributing to economic prosperity and poverty alleviation, sustainable livelihood development and green economy to transition to low carbon economy, efficient and economical use of resources, circular economy practices in Vietnam.
Units participating in the project: 3T Cooperative in Cao Phong district, Northern Ngoc Xanh Phu Quy Forest Plantation Development and Investment Trading Joint Stock Company (Hoa Binh province) and Vietnam Value Engineering Co.,ltd. (Hanoi), are units of environmentally friendly agricultural practices that combine processing methods to increase efficiency and increase the value of agricultural products, advocating ecologically equitable philosophies in Vietnam. Entities have received support from the Eco-Fair project in many areas including capacity building in sustainable production, rapid assessment of Energy Efficiency and Cleaner Production, packaging design, product innovation, technology transfer, consulting in bankable projects, market promotion… During the reception, the delegation expressed gratitude to the European Union for its support and highly appreciated the support activities and project impacts. They hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again next time.
At the same time, the European Union Delegation was very impressed with the project results, and participated in a number of musical performances performed by the local farmers themselves.
