The mission of the International Trade Center (ITC) to Vietnam
From July 18 to 24, 2023, the mission of the International Trade Center (ITC) visited and worked with ministries, organization, national professional associations, and international partners in Hanoi.
Attending the mission were Mr. Mathieu Lamolle – Senior Advisor of the Green and Inclusive Value Chain, Division of Sustainable and Inclusive Trade, ITC; Mr. Bruce Dang – Project Manager of Green To Compete Hub, ITC; Ms. Nguyen Bao Thoa – Director of Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute (VIRI), National Coordinator of SheTrades Initiative project, Team Leader of G2C Hub Vietnam, ITC.
Within the framework of cooperation and implementation of the project “Promoting supply and demand of eco-fair agricultural processing products in Vietnam” (Eco Fair) sponsored by the European Union for the period 2020-2023, the activities of uploading the national standards such as VietGAP and PGS on the ITC’s sustainable platform has received the support and coordination from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association and especially technical support from ITC.
In the coming time, ITC will continue to support businesses that certified Vietnam’s sustainability standards on the ITC standard map which will enhance the image and trade opportunities for certified businesses as well as enhance the image of the national standards of Vietnam.
